Quickies: New discs, new drummers.

Black Sabbath and Stratovarius announced new drummers.

Stratovarius and Black Sabbath, both are very close to launch their new albums. Each one in its genre and differences, but with a huge similarity between them: The drummer.

The uncertain and unpredictable Stratovarius have already confirmed the album Nemesis for the end of February. The Finns won’t repeat the team that made Elysium in 2011. Jörg Michael is out and Rolf Pilve is in. Before Stratovarius, Rolf played at Status Minor, a Progressive Metal band.

This could be a sign of a Stratovarius more Progressive than Power Metal? I bet so…

Brad Wilk and the pressure from Bill Ward.
Black Sabbath without Bill Ward?

On the same line, Black Sabbath’s “youths” have announced their long waited return to June, and the name of the album is also confirmed: 13. Their lucky number?

Unfortunately the band won’t be with the original and legendary squad. Bill Ward leaves and enters Brad Wilk, from Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine. We cannot deny the power of Brad; the question is if he is able to appear like a protagonist or if he’ll be an adjuvant overshadowed by Bill’s story.

Fearless. We have to say it. This guy is fearless.
